Amount of PvE content?
I just purchased GW the other day and started playing it last night. I am working on a Monk/Necro whos primary role will be a healing monk. Anyway, i have read all i can on the game and it looks like a good fit for what i am looking for. That being said, while i will certainly try out the PvP game, my primary interest is in PvE content. I have not been able to find anything that quantifies how much of it there is. Can anybody give me a rough idea in relation to other online games that ave been released such as the original release of EQ, or Diablo 2 plus expansion?
I am curious to see how the expansions pan out. I think the obvious focus has been on PvP for the original release but i am interested to see if the fanbase actually wants more PVE as the community develops. |

I've played EQ for 6 years (since last beta phase) but I don't think I can give you an actual comparison.
I can say this, the content in guild wars is huge. Take a look at the map alone and you'll get a general idea. The quests, missions, and just overall size of the game is awe-inspiring. If you absolutely needed a very rough idea the size compared to eq, I'd say compare it to the amount of content you have up to the LoY expansion. That's EQ original + Kunark + Velious + Luclin + LoY. That may be cutting GW a little short on content since I've only played two beta's but that's what I see. You can view the maps on this web site just use the search function and type in Map Project |
